The Under-17 women's national team has already started preparations for the crucial second leg, second round match of the Under-17 Women's World Cup qualifier against Ghana.
The match will be played in Accra, Ghana, on Friday, March 23.
South Africa and Ghana played to a goalless draw in the first leg at Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton two weeks ago.
The winner of this encounter will be one of three African countries that will qualify for the Under-17 Women's World Cup scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan from September 22 to October 13 this year.
The Bantwana squad is training at Edenvale Sports Grounds in preparation for this crucial match. Coach Gregory Mashilo is aware of the tough task awaiting him in Ghana and has emphasised the importance of preparing adequately if his charges are to overpower their opponents in their backyard.
"We are working hard on rectifying the errors we made in the first leg encounter because I still believe we should have scored at least one goal in the first leg. Ghana played defensively in the first leg, but we expect them to come at us this time around, so we should be ready for a really tough encounter.
"That also means we have to change our game plan if we are to overcome them in their backyard. A plus for us though is that we didn't concede an away goal which could have really been catastrophic.
"But make no mistake, we still have a tall order as both sides have one foot on the plane to the World Cup tournament in Azerbaijan. I remain confident though that the girls will deliver," Mashilo says.
As part of the preparations, Bantwana played against Banyana Banyana in a training match yesterday, in which the juniors went down 4-0.
Banyana were also using the match to shape up for their international friendly against Ghana, which will be played on Wednesday, March 21, at Dobsonville Stadium.
The players have put their studies on hold for this week as they prepare for the Friday's decisive match.
"We would like to put more focus on preparing for the upcoming match. We obviously won't deny them their education as we are the ones who are encouraging them in the first place to continue with their studies. We would however, want them to concentrate fully on this vital assignment without other distractions," Mashilo adds.
Bantwana depart for Ghana on Thursday, March 22.
